Providing support for gig economy workers is essential for London's recovery - how can you help?

Announcing the Mayor of London's Resilience Fund

As we've seen in recent news, gig economy workers are integral to London's economy and services. Now, more than ever, we need to support people who are in the gig economy to help London bounce back.

That's why the team here at the Living Wage Foundation is working with the Mayor of London and Nesta Challenges to develop solutions that utilise data and technology to help enable better pay and better work for gig economy workers.

Now, we need innovators to help turn this into reality.

Entrants need to create a digital service for gig economy workers that analyses and translates expenditure and remuneration data to provide insights that help gig workers understand their take-home pay and if they are paid the London Living Wage.

There's up to £50k available to support your idea. The Mayor will award £10k each to the top four entries for this challenge in the first round. You'll also receive capacity building support and access to data and stakeholders to develop and test your product. After the first round, one winner will be awarded an additional £40k to implement their idea.
