Living Wage wins Charity Times Awards

We are delighted to announce that the Citizens UK Living Wage has won at the Charity Times Awards in two categories.

The Living Wage won the Corporate National Partnership of the Year with a Financial Institution award for our work with KPMG LLP, and were Highly Commended for the Cross Sector Partnership award for our work with the Mayor of London.

Neil Jameson, Chief Executive of Citizens UK said:

"An idea that came from civil society has seen almost 400 employers become accredited, the UK has held the first Living Wage Olympic Games, and most importantly the campaign has made a real difference to people's lives. The Living Wage has helped 45,000 families across the UK, and partnership working has been absolutely fundamental to this success.

With one in five workers across the UK still earning less than what is needed for a basic but acceptable standard of living, there is much more to do. The commitment of our principal partners and the Mayor of London make a great difference, and we look forward to seeing the Living Wage taken on more widely by working together."
