NEWS: Response to High Pay Centre/CIPD executive pay survey 2018

On the 15th August, CIPD and the High Pay Centre published their annual review of FTSE 100 executive pay packages. The report found that CEO median pay rose by 11% between 2016 and 2017, and now stands at £3.93 million per year, an increase on £3.53 million in 2016.

In response to the report, Tess Lanning, Director of the Living Wage Foundation said:

"A basic test of fairness for many people will be whether the UK's largest companies are paying their lowest paid staff a real Living Wage, not just the government minimum.

"Over a third of FTSE 100 companies are accredited Living Wage Employers, but we now want to see more step up and pay all workers enough to live on."
