Lisa Hardman has been an independent financial adviser for over 20 years. She gained Chartered Status in 2017 and is additionally qualified to give advice on Long Term Care. Lisa is also the Director responsible for Competence and Training. Lisa has worked with Investing Ethically since 2003, having previously spent eight years working for the international-development charity NEAD (Norfolk Education and Action for Development), on both their fair trade and international trade projects.

Dale is currently Aviva’s Policy Manager for workplace savings and retirement. Originally from Sunderland he now lives in Bristol with his wife and two boys. Dale has worked in workplace pensions in a variety of roles over the past 30 years, providing him with insight from a range of stakeholder viewpoints. His current role sees him regularly engage decision makers across the workplace savings and retirement market as well as providing the opportunity to share insights through regular thought leadership output.

Alison has been Director of Tax at Everton FC since June 2015, which encompasses responsibility for all areas of tax and related matters appertaining to the Club. Prior to this Alison spent time with each of the ‘big four’ accounting firms culminating in spending the last 18 years as an equity partner with Deloitte. During these years, in addition to advising a diverse range of clients on UK and international tax matters, she had responsibility for parts of the UK tax practice and created new service lines including the global immigration practice. 

Alison also holds a number of NED roles currently, including Governor and Chair of the Finance Committee for Everton Free School; Chair of the Greater Manchester Citizen’s Advice Board; Chair of BCP (previously Kids allowed), an award winning nursery group in Greater Manchester; and Member of the Advisory Board of Leeds University Business School. Alison is author of Childcare, Choices and Costs, a book published by Spiramus in 2015. 

Tim is responsible for delivering the models and modelling to support the PPI’s current research program. He joined the PPI in July 2015 and since then has analysed the projected implication of pension policies upon many significant groups. These have included the self-employed, women, younger generations, and the Exchequer. 

Tim has worked alongside academics and other researchers on collaborative projects including WHeRL and CASPeR. These projects bring multidisciplinary research to widen the research scope to give a more complete view of the implications of interacting areas of policy. 

Prior to joining the PPI, Tim worked for Legal and General where he spent nearly ten years contributing to a wide variety of actuarial modelling projects, from financial reporting to annuity pricing. Tim has an MA (Cantab.) having studied mathematics at Fitzwilliam College Cambridge.

Saq has over 20 years' experience in pensions and more recently has founded People-tech, home to brands such as Financialeducation.co.uk, UK Care Guide and Helpandadvice.co.uk. These websites are aimed at helping businesses and consumers deal with a range of issues, including pensions.  

Prior to this, Saq was a Director at PwC, where he headed up the Defined Contribution Pension and Benefits practice where he worked with a range of clients, including some of the biggest names, globally and in the UK, on their pension strategy and governance. A role which he still does.  He has a lot of experience in helping organisations define what they want their pension scheme to deliver and then helping them engage with their workforce in delivering the strategy.  He will be able to bring his experience of working with multiple stakeholders involved in the delivery of pensions to help us in our goal of defining the Living Pension.

Age UK are the national charity for older people. Christopher leads Age UK’s public policy work on all areas relating to money, consumer and rights, and has a particular interest in private pensions and employment, which involves representing the interests of consumers and older people to Government, regulators and industry.  The work of the Public Policy department covers a diverse range of policy issues, also including banking and financial services, housing, transport, finance, welfare and benefits, as well as equalities and rights. He has worked at Age UK since May 2010, prior to this he worked at the awarding body City & Guilds, where he managed its Parliamentary and public policy activity, and before that at Lansons, a public affairs agency specialising in financial services. With another hat on, he also sits on the Nest pension scheme’s Members’ Panel, representing the interest of savers. 

Jack is responsible for all areas of the organisation's pensions policy. Before joining the TUC in 2017, he worked as a journalist, specialising in pensions.

Paul is a principal consultant in the public service pensions team at Isio and has nearly 20 years’ industry experience. His main areas of focus is helping clients communicate effectively with their scheme members and employees, particularly in relation to complex areas such as pensions tax and the pensions remedy (McCloud). Paul also advises clients on inclusive benefit design and removing barriers to participation particularly for low paid staff

Mike is Chief Economist and the Deputy Chief Executive of the Resolution Foundation, an independent think-tank focused on improving the living standards of those on low-to-middle incomes. Mike oversees all aspects of the Foundation’s research agenda, which covers incomes and inequality; jobs, skills and pay; housing, wealth and debt; tax and welfare; public finances and the economy. He is also a visiting Professor at the Department of Social Policy at the LSE.
