How do I approach my contractors?

To accredit, employers must bring all directly employed staff onto the measures. They must also have a plan in place for third-party contracted staff. For the first three years, we're asking employers to focus specifically on cleaning, catering, and security staff. 

What you need to do:​ 

  • Share the names of your cleaning, catering and security contractors and the date their contracts are next up for renewal​ 
  • Agree to work with LWF and suppliers on understanding what is possible and when for delivering Living Hours to workers on those contracts ​ 
  • Commit to bringing at least one of these contracts onto Living Hours within the first three years, and then to build from there​ 
  • Build Living Hours into your new contracts
